i have a second tier deck on a colonial home. i will be ripping it out so they can install a 24 by 16 deck since it's a second level deck instead i want stairs to have a landing instead of strht down. i'm looking for composite decking and plastic railings since it's second level. what do u think a deck would cost here in connecticut thanks
the price you pay for your deck. while actual costs will vary greatly from project to project, composite decking has shown costs of 2 to 5 times more than decks built from pressure treated wood, and nearly twice as much as a deck protected with pvc vinyl. while the cost of material contributes to this difference,
there are numerous benefits of vinyl decking including versatility, waterproofing, low-maintenance, durability, and cost-effectiveness. if youre thinking about building or remodeling a deck for your home, trust a local expert like citywide sundecks to provide you with the information you need to make an informed deck decision.
the most expensive materials are azec pvc $4850 and cedar/redwood $4900 see the table below, which shows how much each type of decking costs per square foot, as well as total construction price. note - material cost is for decking boards only. it does not include frame, footings, railings, fasteners, etc.
a new deck can add value to your home and increase your living space without the expense of adding a room. the average homeowner spends about $7,000 to build a 200 to 500 square foot deck, with smaller decks costing as low as $2,000. the cost to build a deck in wood, composite or plastic is about $35 per square foot, including materials.
